Renowned Nollywood actress Joke Muyiwa has added another feather to her cap by earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Theatre Arts from the prestigious University of Ibadan.
This achievement was shared in a Facebook post where the 61-year-old movie star was celebrated for her academic milestone.
Joke Muyiwa is one of the most astute actresses in the Nollywood industry, who has been lecturing since 2003. The multi-talented actress was appointed head of the department of Performing arts at Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) in 2010.
Recently, she earned a promotion to the position of Chief Arts Fellow, a professorial cadre in her professional field. Taking to her Instagram page, she expressed her heartfelt gratitude for this new chapter in her career.
She wrote, “My promotion to the position of Chief Arts Fellow, a Professorial cadre was announced today, Lord I say THANK YOU.”
