Mixed reactions have started pouring online as popular Nigerian singer Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun professionally known as Wizkid gives his colleague David Adeleke better known as Davido a nickname.
Yesterday, November 18th 2024, Wizkid, the “Dance” crooner took to his verified page on the popular microblogging platform X formerly called Twitter to give Davido the nickname.
The controversy began when Wizkid’s new hit, “Dance,” from the Morayo album, mysteriously vanished from the Apple Music chart. This sparked mixed reactions online, with Davido fans mocking him, claiming the song only reached the top spot due to stream farming.
Some hours later, the Wizkid song “Dance” reappeared at number 1 on the Apple Music chart after miraculously disappearing, and the singer took to his page on X to react.
Responding, Wizkid wrote; “lol this one no be ebuka o kese jor!.”
Reacting to the Wizkid tweet, an X user who wanted to know who Ebuka was in the tweet said; “Na Awuke my Idolo dey call Ebuka.”
Wizkid further confirms what the X said by liking his post meaning that the name Ebuka belongs to Davido.
