Ebuka Obi, the dynamic and often controversial founder of the Zion Prayer Movement Outreach (ZPMO), has once again captured public attention with a revelation few can overlook.
In a recent and candid interview with BBC Igbo, the Imo-born cleric, speaking in his native Igbo, made a surprising admission that has stirred both the spiritual community and the public.
He revealed that he has never engaged in sexual intercourse, explaining that 12 years ago, he made a sacred vow to God to remain celibate until marriage.
For Ebuka Obi, celibacy is more than a sacrifice; it is a profound commitment that keeps him spiritually focused, enabling him to hear God’s voice with complete clarity, free from worldly distractions.
In his words; “I have never dated before. I have never had sexual intercourse with any woman. Any woman who says I’ve had sexual relations with her should speak up.
“Qualities in a woman is not the reason I am not yet married. What is holding me back is that I want to hear the voice of God on it. He has never directed me about marriage. I prayed for 100 days last year to hear from God about it but there was no sign.”
Obi shared a pivotal moment from his life, revealing that in 2009, he made the bold choice to leave behind a successful career in electronic trading to pursue his true calling—founding Zion Ministry.
